I first studied pediatrics because I LOVE kids. I had a very hard childhood in the Bronx, New York and I always pledged to try to make things better for other children. As my experience with pediatrics grew, I got more and more involved in looking at the family as a whole, rather than just the child.  The scope of my interests changed, and I began to focus more and more on integrative medicine and a more global approach to health care.

Therefore, I focus my pediatric care on reoccurring problems and ailments such as:

  • Recurrent Infections
  • Treatment of Chronic Disease
  • Childhood Weight and Appetite Issues
  • Pediatric Cancer

I am trained to look at and incorporate all aspects of family health into treatment.  I utilize many effective integrative and alternative medical therapies such as acupuncture and cold laser therapies to treat pain and stress. I also incorporate many nutritional and, in some cases, IV therapies to enhance overall the overall comfort and boot immune response in my patients.

While I believe nurse practitioners are not the best resources to treat adult sickness (often adult colds and flus are caused by stress and poor immune response that are symptomatic of a deeper problem rather than being the problems themselves) they are excellent resources to treat the day to day fevers, colds, etc. of an otherwise healthy child. They are well trained in diagnosing and treating these individual ailments and administering the proper medication or vaccinations.

Please Note: I only see patients over five years of age. I am NOT a person that you want to come to for help you avoid pediatric vaccinations. While there are some vaccinations that I am concerned about, the dangers of NOT vaccinating your child FAR outweigh the dangers of vaccinating them. I believe ALL children should be vaccinated!
